# Trade Safely

### Protect your wallet

* Keep your private key and seed phrase safe — never share them.
* Lock your devices and review every wallet prompt before you sign.

### Verify what you're trading

* Confirm the token mint address from an official source — watch for copycats with the same name or ticker. You can check a mint on a trusted explorer like <https://solscan.io>.
* Make sure liquidity and volume are real and sufficient for your size; expect slippage on thin pools.
* Review price impact before you submit.

### If something feels off

Stop and don't sign — cancel the transaction. If you suspect compromise, move remaining funds to a fresh wallet and disconnect anything unfamiliar.
