# Funding Your Wallet

After setting up your wallet, deposit SOL to start trading.

### Get your wallet address

Open FatCat Bot, tap **Privy Wallet Address** on the main menu, and copy your Solana address.

### Deposit SOL

Send SOL to your FatCat address from any source — a centralized exchange (Coinbase, Binance, Kraken), another Solana wallet, or a friend.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Always double-check the address before sending. Solana transactions are irreversible, and FatCat cannot recover funds sent to the wrong address.
{% endhint %}

### Why you need SOL

SOL buys tokens, pays network fees, covers most FatCat fees, and creates token accounts the first time you receive a new token (refunded if you close them). Keep a small SOL balance at all times for fees.

You can also send any SPL token (USDC, USDT, etc.) to the same address.
